About

As a senior at Wheaton College majoring in Communications and Political Science, I am passionate about advancing justice through both direct service and systemic change. Currently, I serve as a Call Center Coordinator for Wheaton’s chapter of International Justice Mission (IJM), where I lead outreach efforts to support trafficked women in partnership with a local nonprofit. I also work with World Relief Chicagoland as a Communications and Development Intern, where I engage in ethical storytelling and community-centered research to uplift the voices of immigrants and refugees. Additionally, I support research on race, rhetoric, and justice as a Research Assistant to Dr. Theon Hill focused on the BRIDGE Program, currently.

These experiences have deepened my commitment to trauma-informed care, cross-cultural engagement, and advocacy for vulnerable populations. Whether through policy research or direct outreach, I strive to promote belonging, dignity, and holistic well-being for every person. I look forward to continuing this work through a career in social work.

Projects

I presented my research on Alternative Rhetoric: “Poisonous Rhetoric and the Hopeful Alternative” at Central States Communication Association in April 2025. I plan on presenting my research on Religious Rhetoric: “Redemption or Rationalization? The Southern Baptist Church and the Rhetoric of Reinstating a Sex Offender” at the Rhetoric Society of America in May 2026.

Experiments

I’m always working on something on the side.

Currently in the publishing process on the dangers of moderation to obscure injustices in politics.
